Dr. Nejat is a psychiatrist and psychotherapist who treats a wide range of conditions with a personalized, collaborative and results-oriented approach. She incorporates psychotherapy, medications, or both, depending on each individual’s needs and preferences. She offers comprehensive evaluations, consultations and ongoing treatment.
Biography:
Dr. Nejat graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Barnard College, Columbia University. She received her Doctor of Medicine from New York University School of Medicine and went on to complete a medical internship at Northwell Health. She completed residency training in Psychiatry from New York Presbyterian - Weill Cornell Medical Center, where she served as Chief Resident in Psychiatry. Dr. Nejat is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Weill Cornell Medical School. She was the recipient of the 2018 Medical Student Teaching Award and has published on co-occuring substance and anxiety disorders in the American Psychiatric Association Publishing Group's book on co-occuring mental illness and substance use disorders. Dr. Nejat is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
